Meeru is a Spotlessly clean, well furnished, great value resort.
200 rooms of various types tempt back visitors year after year. In your room you get a large double bed, a great indoor/Outdoor Shower room and tea making facilities. It is all natural woods and is kept so clean you will be amazed.
The buffet food is consistently good and the beach is nigh on perfect.
Most people come to Meeru Island either for a romantic couples break or for the diving which is legendary.

We had expected all the coral to be bleached, but were delighted to find huge areas of apprently pristine coral reef. If you like diving, then come to Meeru
Meeru
Went to Meeru November 2006. What a wonderful, relaxing place to be, out of this world the island is beautiful, serene, the staff could not be more helpful. Snorkelling was fantastic especially as we were first timers. Had a Blessing out there and it was surreal would recommend the island to anyone. JUST DO NOT take children as they will spoil the relaxation. A Must is the Robinson Crusoe Island Trip four hours on a sand bank on your own, it is beyond imagination.
Adventure
We snorkelled out from the house reef just 50 meters when 2 bottlenose dolphins swam right up to us for a look. I looked straight at the eye of one and it was beautiful sight. Then they were gone away as quickly as that.
Non- diver question
Is Meeru a good maldive island for someone who isn't a diver? I wouldn't mind trying a dive but don't want to spend a whole week doing it.
Nice wind up
I read a review the other day that described the dive centre staff as a "rabble of friendly sun kissed sea-gods."
The next visitor to meeru HAS to wind them up with that one. Please!
Wonderfully Relaxing
We had two wonderful weeks and I miss Meeru terribly. Especially the boxfish!

Advanced divers can play with the underwater Scooter which is a total blast.
